BOOKING TERMS

Please read through all our Terms and Conditions as they will explain in detail everything you need to know when booking with Margot + Lace.

We have an ever-growing team of experienced and professionally trained hair and makeup stylists that cover the Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, and surrounding Cotswolds areas, so rest assured we will do all we can to accommodate you and your bridal party. However, please be aware that peak months can be booked 12-18 months in advance so there are rare circumstances where we will not be able to help and will thus forward on some other incredible recommendations.

To make the process fair we act on a first come, first served basis. This means that we cannot and will not hold your wedding date, until we receive your deposit and completed booking form (see above). We allow 7 days for this to be paid from first point of contact.

After your styling consultation(s) you will be required to pay a securement payment of 50% of your total remaining invoice. Again, we allow 7 days for this to be paid (provided you wish to secure your wedding date and go ahead with the booking). Your final balance, if not already paid, will be due 30 days prior to your wedding day.

*We do have a minimum booking of four bridal members for on styling service, for instance., bridal makeup styling, plus makeup styling for three bridesmaids.

All payments are made via BACS, details of which are given upon booking. Please note that we are unable to take any cash payments, and do not have card reading facilities, so cannot take Amex cards or equivalent.

BRIDAL CONSULTATIONS

Once an enquiry has been made, and you’re happy with the quotation, a payment of £130/ £260 (depending on the service(s) booked) will be due within 7 days. This is to secure your date and stylist(s) and is also a prepayment for your styling consultation(s). Once this has been received your stylist will be confirmed and all necessary details will be exchanged. It isn’t always possible to choose your stylist, however if you do have a preference, please state this and we will do our very best to make this happen for you.

Your stylist will then be in touch within 7 working days to introduce themselves and make arrangements regarding your consultation(s). We look to book these in anywhere between 3-6 months prior to your wedding date. Please be aware that over the busier periods, stylists may take a little longer to respond and may have limited booking availability.

Trials tend to be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but we can be flexible if these days do not work for you. Trials will be held at our main studio (GL54 3JL) or at one of our stylists’ studios’. We tend to advise that your consultation(s) be booked on the same day as your wedding dress fitting, as it can be really helpful for the you to get an idea of your overall look. We can work with you to coordinate the logistics of this.

*We will need to know at the time of booking how many people require a consultation, unfortunately due to time constraints these cannot be added on the day.

Please allow 1.5 hours for your trial so we that have enough time to try as many styles as you like. We want our brides to be completely happy and satisfied with how they look and feel. Although trials are set to 1.5 hours we appreciate you may want to go over this time allocation to ensure all your styles have been considered, in this instance any time over the 1.5 hour allocation, will be charged at £25 per hour.

WEDDING DAY

We are a team of freelance hair and makeup artists so therefore we have the flexibility to come to your chosen venue on your wedding day, at whatever time suits you.

All of our stylists allow one hour per person for makeup. This really is to err on the side of caution and factor in time for you to eat and drink, have photos taken and to greet guests and suppliers. We shall be sure to clarify timings at our consultation and this will also be confirmed 30 days prior to your wedding day in a form of a ‘Wedding Morning Schedule’. For larger bridal parties it can be helpful for us and you, to bring an assistant stylist, this will always be an established member of our team.

Your stylist will always arrive in plenty of time to set up and make a punctual start. We aim to have you completely styled, so that you can get in your dress and still have around 60 minutes to relax and take in those magical moments before leaving to get married. At this point we won’t dash off (unless, of course this is what you request) our stylists will be sure to stay around and help with any last-minute alterations or dressing requirements. We really do love helping in any way, so that the bride can remain calm and still look flawless.

TRAVEL + MILEAGE

We cover the first 20 miles of any return journey. Any additional miles thereafter will be charged at 50p per mile, this is the reason we ask for the venue address and postcode at point of enquiry, so that all costs are made clear before booking. Mileage is calculated from your stylist’s home to your chosen venue. Where possible your stylist can be allocated on distance from venue. If you wish to have your trial at your home, then travel expenses will occur.

CANCELLATIONS + LATE PAYMENTS

Cancelling services anytime between booking date and 3 months prior to your wedding - No further charge, any deposits paid will be retained. Cancelling services within 3 months of your wedding date - 50% of the quoted balance will be required and any deposits paid will be retained.

Cancelling any service within 1 month of your wedding date - 100% of the quoted balance will be required and any deposits paid will be retained.

If it becomes apparent that clients have symptoms of any contagious viruses which include but are not limited to covid 19, conjunctivitis, herpes, head lice, we reserve the right to refuse the booking/appointment without penalty to ourselves to avoid the serious risk of cross-infection and contamination.

Any securement payments that are made after the 7-day invoicing period (this does not include the initial deposit amount) will be charged a ‘Late Payment Fee’ of £10.

By booking and paying for your bridal consultation you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.
